Our First semester portfolio project was to take a random prompt and create a game concept out of it, our group got “deep sea art deco” as our theme.
after a long time of deliberating how to not just make BioShock again we landed on A game about a society that sends the “worst” of their criminals to a deep sea facility to collect materials and resources to be used by the people on the surface theoretically to pay off their crimes but the barriers set so high and the depths are so dangerous that nobody’s ever reached it, the player is the newest convict sent down to the depths, they can just accept their place or they can try and find a way out of the system determined to prevent them from getting up”
I was in charge of designing the main character, the diving suit and some of the creatures later i was also given the guide character.
Theres less iteration for the guide as much of it was done with the main character.
